I just took one of those facebook quizes "what time period do you belong in?" (by the way- Mike has no idea what I am talking about as he is anti-facebook at this time).
Anyway, my results are the 40's. "Not dealing well with stress, you wish life was more simple: like in the 1940s. You would like sitting on your porch swing, enjoying the company of your family. But also, you know when to work hard and can make the best out of difficult times. Make sure to read To Kill A Mockingbird and watch Shirley Temple movies, all set in the 40s!"
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate modern conveniences (but only to an certain extent).
Why do I feel I am expected to have to answer my cell phone even if I am in the grocery line or in the middle of changing a diaper? Why is it I feel like a total looser because I am the only American without a IPOD? Is it odd I want all my friends to move into our neighborhood so we can actually spend time together without it being an event that takes a month to plan?
All that to say who is moving into our neighborhood? Lets all burn cell phones and IPODs and sit around in fancy dresses smoking from with fancy cigarette holders (I did research on these and it seems they were from the 20's... bummer). Who is with me???

I'm in! Especially the part about everyone living by each other and spending time together without planning it for a month. Seriously? What is UP with that? Why is it so hard leave our little bubbles and interact when it's what we all really want to be doing? I actually own a couple of those cigarette holders. They belonged to my great grandma. I don't smoke... but I can't say I haven't tried them out.
Couldn't agree more- let's burn cells & blackberries! Also, there is another American without an Ipod-ME! :)
I hope all is well!
You know I'm in. Those who know me know that I rarely answer my phone. It's not that I have it on my person, look at it when it rings and then don't answer. I just don't carry it around, or leave it in the car because I don't think we are supposed to be answering our phones all the time. Remember back when phone used to be connected to the house and you could leave it there. The memories :)
