More weight gained

Eli and I just went to the doctor for a weight check... something we have to do often. He weighed in at 12 lbs 12 ounces up from 12 lbs 8 ounces last week. That is a little over .5 ounces per day! We are happy with that, so much better then loosing! We bought a scale off EBay recommended by a friend, she said it is the same one her doctors office uses. We went ahead and bought it even though many medical professionals were telling us we need to spend thousands of dollars to get an accurate one (we only spent about $40.00). I weighed him right before we left for the doctor and they matched perfectly so now we can weigh him at home!

Eli goes to LA

Eli and I just got back from LA... we went to see my Grandma who is very ill. It was great for her to get to see Eli and she told me she loves me more then she did before just for bringing him to see her. It was really a great trip, Eli could not have done better. We got to see Grandma before she gets too ill and we got to spend tons of time with Aunt Kelly who came from Florida to meet us there. Papaw Babbitt, Eli, and Aunt Kelly, and I had a lot of laughs... however Eli was sure we might kill him in the car in LA traffic if we did not injure him in the hotel sink first. He was glad to get back to daddy (a much better driver).

Nana comes to visit

I realized this was taken when we were visiting Nana Babbitt after I started to post it... However, Nana comes to our house to see Eli about once a week on her lunch breaks. She only works about 5 minutes away!

Bath time!

Although he does not fight bath time, he does not love it... I would say he is impartial. His favorite part is when it is done and papa zerberts his belly. It would be great if he learned to love the water before our family vacation to Destin with Memaw and Pepaw Kuebler.

Loves the Ladies

Watch out Ladies... it seems Eli has a fancy for Nadia Perez. As soon as he is taller then her he is contemplating asking her out.

Like Mike, if I could be like Mike

We could say Eli wants to be like Mike... but considering Mike dressed them both, I would have to say Mike wants to be like Eli. It has been nothing but basketball around our house for weeks now... I bet you can't guess which game they were watching here? Eli loves to watch the TV so this is perfect bonding time, Mike seems to think it is OK for a 3 1/2 month old to watch TV if it is sports... even if it is at BW3's. Yes we take our baby to BW3's, in our defense, they do have changing tables. They even have them in the men's bathroom. Mike learned a very good lesson there when Eli was about 7 weeks old. No matter how desperate you are for baby wipes it is never a good idea to use wet toilet paper and then dry your infant under the hand dryer after they pee all over them self... we think Eli might be traumatized for life.
"Memaw... Pepaw where is my Butler attire?... that must be why they lost?"

Starting Solids

We all like to call Eli our little bobble head... he has such a long skinny little neck with this little head that bobs around when he gets lazy. He is up to about 12.5 pounds (this was last week)... and it has been hard work to get there. He went through a few weeks of loosing weight and made his mommy panic a little when they threatened to admit him if he did not start to gain. We have suspected he has reflux for a while. It causes him to always sound congested and scream when you go to feed him. We started him on Prevacid when he was loosing weight and think it is really working. He will eat without screaming now, he is still not a big eater but he is back to gaining weight (slowly)... just not going to have a big appetite. The good news is through the whole process he has been a happy little guy... as long as you were not trying to feed him!. To help beef him up we also started solids about 3 weeks ago and he loves it. It is amazing how quickly he took to using a spoon. It has also made his mommy give up on keeping him clean... what a mess!!! Notice we are attempting to hold his hands out of the way and keep him from putting them in his mouth... We have given up on this, now we just strip him down and let him make a mess.

Time to Play

Eli is getting big so fast, doing new things that wow us everyday... it is funny what excites us now. He started to really like playing with toys last month. His favorite toys are the Blue Elephant in the picture to the left and the Red Monkey at the bottom right. A few weeks ago he began to love this puppy he is sleeping with too. It is so fun to watch him play and cuddle his toys and it keeps him entertained a little more!,,, very nice for mommy and papa.

Such a big boy

We love the Bumbo... which is this nice little seat for Eli. He likes to sit in it on the counter and watch Mommy cook. We think he looks so cute in it. One day we will get a picture of him smiling... as soon as he see the camera the smiling stops.

While I tried to read, the conceited one stared at himself in the mirror! We need to teach him some humility.

Onex was in town last weekend. A bunch of us got together at the Perez's for dinner (Boner made it for everyone...what a nice Boner). Here is Onex holding Eli. Hopefully Eli will grow up with a singing voice like Onex instead of his dad's (and especially his mom's).

Uncle Ryan has his hands full

Uncle Ryan was chilling with his favorite Kuebler nephew and his daughter Alaina at the Perez's for a dinner outing. Five minutes after this picture was taken, Ryan passed gas....quietly, as if no one would find out.

I have been bad at this

I know I have not posted anything in a long time, which I have been reminded makes my blog a "never blog". I was set on learning how to post videos and instead learned how dependent on my husband I am for such things. I promise to all interested (Jon) that I will put new pictures on by the end of the weekend... and maybe a video if I can figure out our camera software.
