Birth surprises

1. My water broke before my scheduled surgery date. This was fun and exciting because it was not planned and added an element of surprise to the event. (I think it surprised Julie the most. She arrived to watch Eli while I was on bed rest and instead ended up driving me to the hospital to have a baby - thank you again Julie).

2. With Eli's C-Section Mike thought he would pass out and I DID NOT want them to tell me anything they were doing as I hated the idea of being the patient and not the nurse. This time Mike video taped it and I was sad they did not have a mirror for me to watch it. I did however get to watch the video while they were still stitching me up. I will not post this video. We are very open people, but even we would not post that. Although we have shared it with anyone that visits and wants to see it.





3. Eli's surprises - He was surprised that Isaac had a face, and feet, and fingers... but most of all he was surprised he did not have clothes.



So far Eli loves his baby brother. Here is a really long video from the hospital the day we took Isaac home. It is long and only the kind of thing family will most likely want to watch. However, Eli has a classic quote in the end implying my belly is still BIG.

We have been debating if the boys look alike. Mike says no, I say yes. Although looking at this post, I might be wrong.
