Most important events of last month

As you know we bought Mike's grandmothers home. In the bonus room "man room" was a pinball machine that Mike and his family played a lot over the last 30 years (that is a guess) or more. Our biggest improvement to the house is getting this fixed. I would like to note that I won the first annual Kuebler Family tournament.

We have begun to teach Eli to LOVE race day!

Random pics from last month

We have a toilet downstairs!
One day last week I watch Eli plus two little girls (Ashley's) and a few dogs... I think we will hold off on number 2 a little while longer and a dog is out of the question for even longer! I was pooped.

Second thip to the zoo... he really did touch one!

Birthday celebration at our house... Mike's parents went on a hunt in our back yard looking for some additional landscaping to take home. I love this picture because it makes it look like we live in the woods!

All three cousins... after this was taken Eli stool Alyssa's food. When I apologized for him and replaced it Aliana stool it!

Mothers day at the zoo

For mothers day I got a zoo pass. Here are a few pics from Eli's first zoo trip. Mike says he enjoyed it despite the lack of expression on his face. We think Eli's favorite thing was the BBQ sauce and fries.

On the way home Eli dumped his drink all over himself and had to go pant-less... This might have been his second favorite part.

Crazy month

Once again we are very very bad bloggers. We spend most of the month making it so we have a toilet downstairs again before Mike's family came over for race day. Correction: My dad spent much time on this, we spent most of our time landscaping.

Eli is growing too fast. I think he looks like such a little boy here vs a baby.

This s one of his new favorite things to do, it is so helpful! I should have taken the picture after he had everything out an all over the kitchen.

Matching hats... at what point is it not cool to have clothes and hats that match dad??? I don't want to embarrass him at 16.

Hair cut

Eli got a bum deal on his first hair cut, and his second really. His first was a few months ago and consisted of me snipping a little off, while he was in the bathtub, that was hanging over his ears. Although he has very little hair, he had a few wild ones that made it look like he has wings when the wind blew. I was going to take him to Cookie-Cutters for the "first (really second) hair cut" experience, but Mike wanted to "fade him up" at home. I had video but I took it the wrong direction, so all we really have are pictures. It turned out well despite my doubts.

Finally a slide

I have been on listed on many a wish lists in Indy Indy waiting to get my hands on a used outside climber to get us by without having to buy the big swing set this year. We finally got on Sunday!!! I know at least 3 stores that will be so excited not to have me call daily... these are hard to get your hands on used, they go fast.

House Updates

We got new hardwood floors put in the kitchen a few weeks ago. It has inspired us to at least think about painting the walls and the trim. There is still some finishing touches to be done to the floors but we are really happy with them. It finally feels clean when I walk on it and I don't feel like I have to wear shoes all the time!

We replaced the dinning room light (no picture) and were thinking about replacing the breakfast nook soon... looks like it will be sooner then later considering Mike "accidentally" broke it with his head.
Our inside projects are on a hold (1/2 finished and on hold) while we get outside and enjoy the weather. Mike, Beth (Mike's youngest sister) and I pulled all the Ivy and other ground cover out a few weekends ago. Mike edged and we are ready to plant some more and mulch. It looks bare now but it's still much better then it was. We can found about 2 feet more of the driveway and a good extra foot of sidewalk under everything!!!
I thought I hated outside work, but we have really enjoyed doing it together the last few weekends.

I am surprised Aunt Beth had the energy to help... despite the fact she ran like 200 miles that morning, Eli drank most of her shake so she did not even have a sugar buzz to go on.Eli is loving all the outside time and he is quit the helper. He takes all the tools out of the garage and puts them on the driveway. The important things you need to landscape like wrenches and screwdrivers. He also thinks he should be able to mow. I did not get a picture of this one... but he got his hands on the weed-whacker when he was all of two feet away from us and weed-whacked my ankle.
Eli also loves to each on the front porch now. As he was eating dinner last night we noticed he had put his fork down and started to eat with his tool. That is a wrench his turkey dog is on.
